Helpful tips to get here

By bike

The most beautiful and environmentally friendly way to get to Hunza is cycling along the Danube if you come from the North. We’re not too far away from two international bike routes, the Eurovelo 13 and the Eurovelo 6. From Pécs there is a very pretty cycle path through the woods passing the Orfü lakes.

By train

The station of Godisa is located 3 km from Hunza and has a regular service to/from Budapest. The journey is just under 3 hours from Budapest Keleti train station, or just over 3 hours from Budapest Deli train station. From Godisa there are buses or contact us and we’ll pick you up.

By bus

Frequent buses run to the bus stop called 'Kisbodolya'. From there, Hunza Ecolodge is just a 2 minute walk. Just note that during the weekend buses are less frequent! If you arrive by train in Godisa, you’ll find the local bus stop just in front of the tiny train station. The timetable is on the link below:

By car

If you are coming by car from Western Europe, please don’t follow your GPS which will send you through Slovenia. A single ride will cost 35 euro extra toll, lead you through the mountains and is no faster. Better enter Hungary via Vienna/Györ and through the village of Mór (road 81) for the best road to Hunza. Trust us, it’s the best route!

By plane

The least environmentally friendly way, but still the fastest way to get to Hunza is by using low-cost airlines (such as Wizzair and Ryanair), arriving in Budapest Airport. From there the train, shuttle bus (link below) or rental cars are the best options to reach the ecolodge.
