Perched at the top of the Hunza grounds is the beautiful Korowai Tree House which, like in the Korowai tribe of Papua New Guinea, can accommodate a whole family. Wake up to a stunning sunrise over the valley and enjoy the balcony views as you nestle in the treetops. Relax and rejuvenate amongst peaceful, natural surroundings.

• The Hunza Tree House can accommodate a family of up to 5, with comfortable beds (2 x double bed + 1 x sofa bed), equipped kitchenette, bathroom and dry toilet. The whole treehouse is 100% eco, built with our own hands using local, natural materials.

• In July & August a fresh and delicious organic breakfast can be ordered at the Tree House! This can be ordered in advance or when you’re here.

• We offer organic vegetables & fruits for you to cook in the Tree House. These are fresh from our garden and available at reasonable prices in our mini shop.

• We have hiking maps, self-guided day trips and a detailed travel guide at your disposal. The booklet is based on our own experiences and tips by locals, to help you make unforgettable memories in the Baranya region.

In July & August check-in is possible every Monday between 16:00 and 20:00, check-out is Monday at 10:00. From April till November (except July & August) the Tree House is available with flexible check-in and a minimum stay of 2 nights.

Gingerbread House

Because life is better in the woods!

Tucked in a little forested valley on the far side of the pretty Hunza gardens, sits the magical Gingerbread House. Surrounded by your own private woodland, it’s the perfect place to escape busy life and lose yourself in nature and birdsong, with all the comforts you’ll ever need.

• The Gingerbread House can accommodate 5 people, with comfortable beds (1 x double bed + 3 x single bed), equipped kitchenette, bathroom and dry toilet. The cabin is built with local, natural and upcycled materials, allowing it to blend perfectly into the woodland, with a cosy and stylish interior.

Boho Wagon

Let bohemian dreams come to life!

Nestled in the Hunza woodlands is the truly unique, hand-crafted Boho Wagon, the perfect place to connect to your free-spirit. Sitting in the shade of a 100 year old apple tree and Hunza’s most beautiful oak trees, the Boho Wagon is another of our original builds, designed and built with all natural materials.

• The Boho Wagon is comfy and cozy, furnished with a cupboard and comfortable beds to accommodate up to 4 people (1 x double bed and 1 x bunk bed), with your own barbecue spot, table and chairs for al fresco dining and a hammock to relax in.

Glamping Tent

Get back to nature in style!

If you want to camp with a touch more glamour, our fully furnished, luxury bell tents are just the thing for an unforgettable holiday. Located on the edge of the forest, your private terrace allows you to take in all the sights and sounds of Hunza’s vibrant gardens and woodland whilst having the utmost comfort. Camping doesn’t get better than this!

• You’ll stay in a unique bell tent (20 m²) on your own patio at the edge of the forest. The tent is very cozy and furnished with comfortable beds. Each tent has its own barbecue spot, table and chairs for al fresco dining and a hammock to relax in. Shade, rest and privacy are assured.

• Each morning we bring you a fresh and delicious organic breakfast!

If you would rather bring your own tent, why not choose a shady camping spot at the edge of Hunza’s own woodland? With a small number of separate pitches scattered throughout the property, you will be assured privacy, tranquillity and the perfect chance to reconnect with nature. We provide you with all the facilities, including the fully equipped Summer Kitchen, you need for an unforgettable stay.

• Hunza has 5 camping spots available, each with electricity and water supply. We can accommodate campervans and tents, but no caravans.

• You can use the shared outdoor kitchens, fully equipped with pots, pans and tableware. To cook, we offer organic vegetables & fruit fresh from our garden at reasonable prices in our mini shop.

• There will be a place in the fridge available for you, and a place in the cupboard to store your food cool and dry.

Hunza Ecolodge offers a wide range of well-maintained facilities to meet both the needs of individual visitors as well as for groups and private events. All facilities are home-designed and handcrafted with eye for details, unique atmosphere and functionality.

Renovated barn
We've been renovating our beautiful 19th century barn into a unique, bright space with heating, professional kitchen, bar, library, a big round table and sofas. There is also a dorm with a bathroom (up to 8 persons) and 2 separate toilets. The ground floor is 150 m², has tiles on the floor and is perfect as a lounge, for enjoying meals during colder seasons and for meetings or creative activities.

Outdoor bathrooms
In a cute little building you can find 4 shower rooms with sink, hot water and 2 separate toilets. For groups sleeping in tents and/or the Boho Wagon or everyone who likes to shower outdoors, these would be your bathrooms.

Outdoor community space
This huge and unique roundwood structure topped with a green roof including a rooftop terrace is a great feature for our guests. This outdoor communal space offers shade and relaxing possibilities, additionally with a large Summer kitchen equipped with all necessary kitchen supplies, 4 sinks and two hobs.
